Anyone can take a photograph, but it takes a well-trained eye to take one with the quality you’re looking for. And, if you have a special occasion or need high-quality photos for any other reason, that well-trained eye belongs to a professional photographer.Read More
This week I am turning the spotlight on Stefan Goncalvez. Stefan was referred to me by a friend in Washington DC and I was very excited to work with him. He is a extremely talented dancer and brought the most amazing energy on set.
Stefan was born in São Paulo, Brazil and moved to the United States at the age of 14 to study ballet. He is currently a member of the Washington Ballet and is in rehearsals for WHITE, which will premiere Saturday, December 13th at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington DC.
Of course, for the photoshoot we wanted to capture him as a dancer. We were able to capture the images that really captured his grace and poise as a dancer. My goal was to get three great images that could be combined to create a great composite of dance and movement and you can see it below:
I must say that I am continually impressed by this young man and can't wait to see what he does next. If you'd like to keep up with Stefan, you can find him on Instagram.
As a dc photographer, one of my favorite things to do is shoot on-location. Today just happen to be one of those days and we had a great corporate portrait session downtown Washington DC today! Our corporate portraits are all about professionalism, confidence and personality.
The NEW olloclip "4-IN-1" photo lens is one of my favorite pieces of gear. With everyone using their smartphones more and more to take pictures, this is an awesome accessory to help take your iphoneography to the next level.
You get a fisheye lens wide-angle lens (great for capturing fun family shots and beautiful winter landscapes.) And if you unscrew those lenses, you’ll find two macro lenses (one offering 10x magnification, the other 15x), which are perfect for close-ups of loved ones under the mistletoe — or the fine details of a tree ornament.
All of these fun lenses make the perfect walk around iPhone accessory. Here are a few fun shots I've snapped around DC!
