Glynn Jones - Hair Photoshoot

I love when clients bring creative ideas to the table. As an artist, this pushes me outside box and encourages growth.

With this shoot I used a non- traditional lighthing set up, using my Hensel Integra 500s, that provided the right amount of lighting on backdrop. This gave us the exact red that we needed.

Overall this his was a great shoot and the results, even unedited are awesome!

On Location: Miami July 25-28

The spaces and places of each project are as integral to achieving the most creative product as the faces being photographed.  Last week took me to sunny Miami for the first time.  This shoot was especially exciting because it was also my first time shooting waist-deep in water.

I had a great time shooting with model Bayardo, a Miami local model.

Inspired by Beauty

I am always on the look for for inspiration and as a photographer/artist you have to. I came across a beauty editorial a few months ago and some many things about it caught my attention. But what stuck out to me the most was how crisp and clean the images looked. So I set out o recreate my own interpretation of this shoot. My MUA and I found an amazing model and were able to pull clothing from La Petite Marmoset. All of the hair and make-up was done by Chris Rushton. Also, all make-up was from Mac Cosmetics.

Before we show you the final images, here is a behind the scenes video:

Beauty and make-up

This weekend we shot a simple but classic beauty shoot with Nour. Gina did a great job as usual with the make-up. I usually just sit back and deal with lighting and such while make-up is being done, but today I got a bit curious about what make-up was being used. So for the MUA out there who curious folks like me, here we go. Face atelier was used widely throughout the looks for the shoot. They have a pretty awesome slogan, if I do saw so myself. "because looking good is the best revenge. Along with that brand Clinque and MAC were also used. Killer products I must say, from a photographers stand point. It has always been obvious to me that Gina has a handle on the make-up and definitely knows her brands.

Here is a screenshot of a few images from the shoot (all unedited).
