Just can't get enough!

If there is one thing we love around here it is headshots. Our headshot clients are some of the most interesting clients we encounter. We  have quickly learned that everyone needs a headshot! As a DC headshots photographer, I shoot headshots for actors, lawyers, realtors, models, musicians, life coaches, dancers and so many other.

Here is a headshot of young Elias, a actor based in Baltimore with tons of talent. We were glad we were able to help him get new headshots!

Headshot Monday Spotlight: Don Mike

During the Headshot Marathon, I had an amazing shoot with an experienced DC actor, Don Mike. He hosts a music event every Thursday at the Black Fox Lounge, something which you all should definitely check out. While we only had two looks to work with, we absolutely nailed it. He was fun to work with and very professional about the whole process.

Photographer's tips:

Be careful if you're wearing glasses at a shoot; if they're not anti-glare, they could pose a problem with all the lights that could reflect back off of them.

BE YOURSELF! Don't overdue makeup or anything that will make you look less like your true self. In the end, it's better to go natural than to walk into an audition and be unrecognizable from your headshot.  Wow them with your talent, not with smoke and mirrors.ImageImageImageImage

Personality

When it comes to headshots, it's all comes down to personality. Who you are should be reflected in your headshot. For actors, when you send your headshot in or bring it to a casting, the person in the photo should look like YOU. For business men/women, your headshot should capture the professionalism you bring the to the table. Let people know, "you get the job done."

We consider it our goal and responsibility to help you present yourself in the best way possible.
Some of our clients walk in the door and have a lot of thoughts about headshots. Either from not feeling as  if they can take good photos, or little "imperfections" they worry about. We stress the key of getting past yourself. It will make the experience much more enjoyable and honestly productive (when working with any photographer, not jut us).

There are not many photographers who guarantee you will love your headshots but I/we (Cedric, Gina and Mikaela) do.

Double Trouble...

Let me just say, that I have never had so much fun shooting headshots. Today Gina (my MUA), had the pleasure working with Sabrina and Rockzana. These two girls kept us so entertained and at the end of the day, it was simply a pleasure. So of course we had to get a shoot with the two of them. Oh and you are getting a early look at the new CTP logo.
